#GIVINGTUESDAY has now joined the holiday lexicon,

following Black Friday and Cyber Monday, as a day for giving back. 
It is a global call to action that is changing the way people
 spend and share during the holidays. 

On Tuesday, December 3, families, businesses, community centers, students, and charities like the Y, will come together to
give back to our communities.

 

Everett Y #GivingTuesday Campaign

On December 3rd the Y is asking our members  give back by… 

 

…volunteering your time, 


…supporting local charities, 


...spreading the word, 


…and giving gifts that give back. 

 

We have selected Y-Community as our #GIVINGTUESDAY program.    

Y-Community is a partnership between housing agencies and the
YMCA that provides a sustainable network of services for youth
and families affected by homelessness. During the holidays the Y partners with local agencies and companies, such as Boeing, to
provide food and gifts for homeless families in our Y-Community program. While this meets the needs of many,
there are still families who need our help.  

  

Our #GIVINGTUESDAY goal is to raise $5,000 for
gifts and holiday meals for our Y-Community families.

You can make a cash donation of any size on
December 3rd -- just click on "GIVE TO Y-COMMUNITY".

Also, anytime between now and December 15th, you can bring in
 non-perishable food items to our food drive in membership
or  childcare lobby. We are also collecting new, unwrapped children's toys in the membership services lobby for Y-COMMUNITY.
