We have just a few days left in the 2014 Annual Campaign.  Overall we're within $3000 of our $95,000 goal.  Please Join Me to support our community!

Did you know...?
Drowning is the second-leading cause of injury-related death among children under the age of 15.

Each year, our YMCA Annual Campaign funds over 500 scholarships for swim lessons that emphasize personal safety, endurance, and swimming skills.  In addition, the YMCA provides more than 5,000 swim lessons per year.

A donation of $50 can send two kids to six weeks of swim lessons.

Did you know...?

31% of sixth graders have been in a physical fight in the past year.

The YMCA Annual Campaign supports more than 100 scholarships for Youth Sports. This program promotes healthy competition rather than rivalry, the value of participation over winning, a sense of fair play and mutual respect for others to over 1,500 local children.

A donation of $100 helps four young children participate in a team sport by playing T-ball this summer.

Did you know...?

Cancer is the world’s leading cause of death.

The Annual Campaign supports Livestrong at the YMCA which is founded on research which shows that moderate levels of appropriate physical activity can reduce fatigue, boost self-esteem and improve muscle strength and physical endurance in individuals following cancer treatment. And cancer survivors themselves are increasingly aware of the positive impact that moderate physical activity, supportive relationships and stress reduction techniques can have on their quality of life.

A donation of $500 helps a cancer survivor receive 12 weeks membership and 1:1 personal training in a supportive group setting in the LiveStrong program.

I donate
to the Annual Campaign to save kids' lives through swim lessons, to support our cancer programs and senior programs and childcare, to give back to the people that helped my kids.  Will you help me?

To make a bigger impact, email me.  I can help you make a one-time pledge that you pay over time.  That's how I do mine.  It's amazing how easily your monthly donation changes someone's life.

Thanks for stopping by!

Our mission is to inspire, nurture, and strengthen culturally vibrant communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility

Every day, we work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income, or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.

We believe that lasting personal and social change can only come about when we all work together. That's why, at the Y, strengthening community is our cause.

With a focus on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility, the Y works to nurture the potential of children and teens, improve the nation's health and well-being, and give back and support our neighbors.

At the Y, no child, family, or adult is turned away. We recognize that for communities to succeed, everyone must be given the opportunity to be healthy, confident, connected, and secure.
