Please help me raise money for the Mill Creek Family YMCA Annual Support Campaign.  Approaching the 10 year mark of my mother Cheryl and Aunt Flora’s death has inspired me to petition for causes in their memory. Both were philanthropists at heart donating their time in many areas of the community. My mother served on the board for Asian Counseling and Referral service, an organization serving all different Asian Pacific American communities, immigrants and refugees in the Pacific Northwest. Flora spent many of her years at the Bellevue YMCA in the Childcare division and loved being around children. She was loved and adored as a mother figure by her colleagues and the children she cared for. Both of these amazing women lived their life to help others and the YMCA embodies all of those traits. The Y bridges any financial gap a person may have that could prevent them from learning an important skill such as swimming or martial arts. They provide childcare for low income families and exercise programs for seniors, some who suffer from Parkinson’s. The Y focuses on Youth Development, healthy living and social responsibility.  Please honor these amazing women and the Y by making a donation right now. Thank you so much!

Every day, we work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income, or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.

We believe that lasting personal and social change can only come about when we all work together. That's why, at the Y, strengthening community is our cause.

With a focus on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility, the Y works to nurture the potential of children and teens, improve the nation's health and well-being, and give back and support our neighbors.

At the Y, no child, family, or adult is turned away. We recognize that for communities to succeed, everyone must be given the opportunity to be healthy, confident, connected, and secure.
