As you may already know our Annual Support Campaign has launched! This is were the Y raises funds for the facility and different Y causes. The Teen Department specifically raises funds for the Youth Development Center, the Teen Bus Run, Minority Achievers Program(MAP), as well as Youth and Government (YAG) and this year our goal is $15,000 for the whole Teen Department.

The Youth Development Center is a safe resources center and hang out space for students ages 10-18 Monday-Friday. It is a completely free to community members as there is no membership required to enter. Our staff provides supervision and more than that they provide a positive role model relationship with our students. In the Youth Development Center students have a vast array of resources such as computers, instruments, games and more!

We also have a Teen Bus Run that picks students up after school from Park Place Middle School, Hidden River Middle School, and Monroe High School. This Bus run is free to students who receive free/reduced lunch.

The Y is able to offer these programs and so much more through community members pledges. Please take a moment and consider pledging to the Teen Department at your local Monroe YMCA.

Every day, we work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income, or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.

We believe that lasting personal and social change can only come about when we all work together. That's why, at the Y, strengthening community is our cause.

With a focus on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility, the Y works to nurture the potential of children and teens, improve the nation's health and well-being, and give back and support our neighbors.

At the Y, no child, family, or adult is turned away. We recognize that for communities to succeed, everyone must be given the opportunity to be healthy, confident, connected, and secure.
