Everyday I get the opportunity to help create a safe place for teens throughout Sultan and Monroe.

I am privileged to work with such amazing youth and help them walk through family troubles, emotional distress, cutting, finding their identity, school, jobs, higher education and more. I have the opportunity through the Y and with your support to give teens the tools they need to be successful in their lives.

I get to celebrate their victories with them when we hang up the quiz they aced on our "Shout" board in the YDC.

I get to celebrate when they choose to set healthy boundaries for themselves in Girls of Promise.

I get to celebrate when they are invited by Governor Jay Inslee to submit a proposal to for him to consider during Youth and Government.

I get to celebrate when students serve their communities on Martin Luther King Jr. Day and when they begin to understand issues of social justice in MAP.

I get to celebrate these students because of your contributions to the Y. Thank you so much.

Let's make Monroe the best place in Washington for teens to grow up. Your donations support the Monroe YMCA's:

  • Minority Achievers Program,
  • Youth and Government Program,
  • Community Youth Development Center
    • And More!

Every day, we work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income, or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.

We believe that lasting personal and social change can only come about when we all work together. That's why, at the Y, strengthening community is our cause.

With a focus on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility, the Y works to nurture the potential of children and teens, improve the nation's health and well-being, and give back and support our neighbors.

At the Y, no child, family, or adult is turned away. We recognize that for communities to succeed, everyone must be given the opportunity to be healthy, confident, connected, and secure.
