At the Monroe/Sky Valley Y, we seek to provide the community with the resources and support in making change in individuals lives, including in adaptive programs. This year, we want to continue to provide that support in striving to help individuals gain confidence, promote independence and responsibility, socialize and work with others, as well as nurture a healthy and active lifestyle.

The 2014 year was a tremendous year of growth within adaptive programs, as we have served over 200 families! Our Miracle League Baseball team grew to over 60 players! As well as our S.K.I.P. (Special Kids In Play) Basketball league reaching 20 players and our Miracle Team Bowling league reaching 21, with an exciting increase for the 2015 season of 30 bowling participants! Our sports leagues are just part of the many programs that we offer and seek to continue to expand.

It is time once again for the Monroe Y Annual Campaign! Our goal is to raise a total of $2,000 for special needs programs. With generous donations, this goal will further be able to allow the Monroe Y to maintain and expand the special needs programs offered. As well as provide financial assistance to families that may not be able to afford a program. Each year our adaptive programs grow in numbers exponentially as we continue to serve the special needs community. With your kind donation, the Monroe Y will be able to provide financial assistance, expand adaptive programs, and maintain current adaptive programs as well. Thank you for your support!

Every day, we work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income, or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.

We believe that lasting personal and social change can only come about when we all work together. That's why, at the Y, strengthening community is our cause.

With a focus on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility, the Y works to nurture the potential of children and teens, improve the nation's health and well-being, and give back and support our neighbors.

At the Y, no child, family, or adult is turned away. We recognize that for communities to succeed, everyone must be given the opportunity to be healthy, confident, connected, and secure.
