Hey guys!  Dave and I are working on the above campaign again this year -- we first got involved with it because of our crazy, amazing daughter who is always out there trying to better everything lol!!  What we found last year, however, is an organization that contributes in a HUGE way to help ANYONE who just asks!  Last year the Monroe Y gave out over $200,000.00 to our community in child care, memberships & other ways people needed help.  As a recovering alcoholic (Anna!) they have never turned away anyone I brought in needing a good workout - most alcoholics when they first get sober are broke and VERY unhealthy - so this for me has been a big way I get to help the new recoveree! So this year we are continuing to help because we believe in the Y and what an awesome service they provide.

Recently we found out the services they provide for the special needs kids. Our niece Brittney graduates this year and will be in need of activities next year. Anyone who knows us, knows how important she is to us!! The Y offers cooking classes - Britt's favorite thing to do:) - bowling, baseball and a lot of other stuff for the kids to do.  Brittney is walking in the Annual Walk-A-Thon this year so come on out and support us if you can - we are walking Lake Tye March 20th, 2:30 -6:30!! We'll even give you dinner if you come on by - even just say Hi! and cheer us on!!!  Thanks everyone:)

Every day, we work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income, or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.

We believe that lasting personal and social change can only come about when we all work together. That's why, at the Y, strengthening community is our cause.

With a focus on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility, the Y works to nurture the potential of children and teens, improve the nation's health and well-being, and give back and support our neighbors.

At the Y, no child, family, or adult is turned away. We recognize that for communities to succeed, everyone must be given the opportunity to be healthy, confident, connected, and secure.
