I grew up as a child with obesity.  Looking back,  I recognize that this was due to a lack of knowledge in how to properly take care of my body.  To make matters worse,  I had low self-esteem and did not comprehend the precious gift of life and health.  God did a number on my heart, transforming me from the inside out.  Health, fitness and caring for my temple has become a significant aspect of who I am today.  As a result of that transformation, I have been able to help many along the way.  Now, you have an opportunity to help me, help the youth of our community to live a life that honors that gift of health and life.  The YMCA is more than just a gym to me… it is a family, and an outlet to reach others for a better tomorrow.

For every $5 you choose to donate to this campaign, your name will go into a drawing for a personal TRX training session with me.  If you can't come to me, I will come to you (within the greater Seattle area).

TRX is a suspended training system that uses body weight, positioning, balance, and strength.  You will get a full body workout in one session, and I will taylor that session according to your needs.

Name to be drawn March 25th during the Cycle-a-thon at the Monroe branch YMCA, where I will spend 3 hours on a Real Rider Spin Bike pedaling to support our youth and their future.

Thank you dearly,

Andrea

Every day, we work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income, or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.

We believe that lasting personal and social change can only come about when we all work together. That's why, at the Y, strengthening community is our cause.

With a focus on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility, the Y works to nurture the potential of children and teens, improve the nation's health and well-being, and give back and support our neighbors.

At the Y, no child, family, or adult is turned away. We recognize that for communities to succeed, everyone must be given the opportunity to be healthy, confident, connected, and secure.
