WHY INVEST IN THE Y?
At the Y, we believe that l
asting personal and social change can only come about when we all work together to invest in our kids, our health, and our neighbors. With your support and generosity, we can continue to address these and other pressing issues – and expand our work to reach more people.

Every gift makes a difference.  Everyone has a role to play.  Give today to be a leader in shaping the future of your community.

$5,000 Twelve families learn healthy living habits by participating in youth obesity prevention programming.

$2,500 Four children become kindergarten ready in a nurturing environment supporting early childhood development and parent engagement.

$500 An elementary school-age youth has a safe and caring place to go afterschool for academic support, games, and peer interaction, all aligned with their school’s curriculum, while their parents finish the work day.

Shannon Leach's Story

I whole heartedly believe in the YMCA - Everett. The ethics, values & programs that are embodied by this organization and taught to the children and adults in our community.

I am grateful for the countless children and families that benefit from what the Y has to offer, regardless of their ability to pay.

I hope that you, too, will see the importance of YMCA in this community and help join in the fundraising effort for the YMCA Invest in Youth Campaign -- Without this campaign, the very programs that allow cancer survivors to come together on their journey to recovery; teach at-risk youth healthy life habits; empower teens to attain their goals; provide a safe place for homeless Everett families would cease to exist.

Being a part of the YMCA gives each individual a sense of community, passion, work ethic, empowerment, & confidence. All of these skills are especially important for the children & families of the YMCA, which are taught to them through the various activities and programs available (at free or reduced cost to those who need financial assistance) to them.

I am so very thankful for what the YMCA has done for me personally -- in allowing me to have a place where I really feel like I am a part of the Y family. However, I am ever more grateful for the selflessness of the YMCA and its staff that shines through in each and every program or class that is offered.
