WHY INVEST IN THE Y?
At the Y, we believe that l
asting personal and social change can only come about when we all work together to invest in our kids, our health, and our neighbors. With your support and generosity, we can continue to address these and other pressing issues – and expand our work to reach more people.

Every gift makes a difference.  Everyone has a role to play.  Give today to be a leader in shaping the future of your community.

$5,000 Twelve families learn healthy living habits by participating in youth obesity prevention programming.

$2,500 Four children become kindergarten ready in a nurturing environment supporting early childhood development and parent engagement.

$1,000 Twenty teens build positive relationships with caring  mentors while receiving homework assistance and  exploring a variety of interests during after school hours and non-school days.

$500 An elementary school-age youth has a safe and caring place to go afterschool for academic support, games, and peer interaction, all aligned with their school’s curriculum, while their parents finish the work day.

$250 Four children gain water safety skills and confidence through Y swim lessons.

$100 Three children enjoy their first team sport experience learning the values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility under the leadership of their volunteer coaches.

Jennifer Payne's Story
Please join me in the fundraising effort for Lorelei's YMCA (well Nana and I like it too)!

Two years after the birth of my wonder daughter, I unexpectedly tossed into the realm of single mother working full time.  Without the support of my family and the Everett YMCA's affordable youth programs, I would not be able to provide my daughter with the opportunities to learn how to swim, play soccer, basketball, and just have a good time at what she lovingly calls the "Mommy Gym" vs the Little Gym she were I paid upwards of $800 a year for a only 45 minutes a week for dance and gymnastics.

It is the least I can do to help them raise funds so my daughter, as well as other daughters and sons, can continue to have these opportunities too.

Your support helps pay for the following programs:
* ACT: Youth Obesity Prevention
* Livestrong: Cancer Survivor Fitness
* Y-Community: Access and transportation to swimming and other community activities for dislocated families in local family shelters.
* 3rd grade swim lessons (including transportation)
* Minority Achievers Program (mentoring, tutoring and college application support for first generation, minority, and low income teens).
* Youth Sports scholarships
* Subsidized before and after school care and Preschool.
