Danielle Priore's Story

In early 2010, I was diagnosed with cancer.  After several months of radiation treatments, it was determined I was in remission. This was just over two years ago.

Part of  my journey to wellness was participating in a cancer survivor’s program at the Everett Family YMCA. This program is called: Livestrong at the YMCA.

Prior to my cancer diagnosis, I was morbidly obese, and was suffering from: diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, sleep apnea, rheumatoid arthritis and severe depression. I even suffered a mini-stroke in the midst of my cancer treatment.  I was prescribed multiple medications, which eventually led to serious and debilitating side effects.

The ultimate goal of  Livestrong at the YMCA is to assist participants in developing a lifelong routine of total wellness.  As a result of utilizing the tools provided to me through Livestrong at the YMCA - I am the healthiest I have ever been. I have lost 100 pounds, and most of my previous illnesses are in remission, and no longer require medications.

To see and hear more about my miraculous journey of recovery and renewal, you can access the following link from the YMCA of Snohomish County You Tube Channel:

Livestrong at the YMCA has transformed my life.  Please join me in giving to the Everett Family YMCA.  Your gift will strengthen our community, INVEST IN YOUTH, and impact the lives of others like myself.

Thank you for investing in our most precious resource: Our Children.

Gratefully,
Danielle Priore

"I will be forever grateful to the Everett YMCA and their wonderful staff for changing my daughter's Danille's life. Watching her progress through the Livestrong classes after her cancer diagnosis was like witnessing a miracle, and answered prayer. She is now healthier and happier then ever. I am so thrilled she can now "pay it forward" by volunteering. Accept my donation in that same spirit."
