WHY INVEST IN THE Y?
At the Y, we believe that lasting personal and social change can only come about when we all work together to invest in our kids, our health, and our neighbors. With your support and generosity, we can continue to address these and other pressing issues – and expand our work to reach more people.

Every gift makes a difference.  Everyone has a role to play.  Give today to be a leader in shaping the future of your community.

$5,000 Twelve families learn healthy living habits by participating in youth obesity prevention programming.


$2,500 Four children become kindergarten ready in a nurturing environment supporting early childhood development and parent engagement.


$1,000 Twenty teens build positive relationships with caring  mentors while receiving homework assistance and  exploring a variety of interests during after school hours and non-school days.


$500 An elementary school-age youth has a safe and caring place to go afterschool for academic support, games, and peer interaction, all aligned with their school’s curriculum, while their parents finish the work day.


$250 Four children gain water safety skills and confidence through Y swim lessons.


$100 Three children enjoy their first team sport experience learning the values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility under the leadership of their volunteer coaches.

    Yes, I work at the Y and YES rasing dollars helps support the work I do.  Raising these dollars does not pay my salary, keep our lights on or purchase new equipment; the dollars raised in the Invest In Youth Campaign are put directly toward programs that impact you and your community.
    Invest in Youth dollars fund free programs which directly combat youth obesity through activity and nutrition education for families of obese children in the ACT (Actively Changing Together) program.  Invest In Youth dollars are used to provide free support and wellness programs for our friends and neighbors who have survived cancer through our LiveStrong program.  Invest In Youth dollars go directly toward providing after school enrichment and college readiness programming for the youth of our community who, with out the Y, would be going home to empty houses, empty stomaches and idle time.
    I am asking that you consider making a gift to your community by giving to the Y.  Every day I try to imagine what our community would look like without a YMCA, without a place for families to gather, without a place for teens to be mentored, without a pool or enriching programs.  Your gift will help ensure these programs continue to be available to all.
