Did you know that early childhood education is an efficient and effective investment for economic and workforce development?  Quality economic returns come from quality investments in early childhood education.  The earlier the investment in a child's life, the greater the return as evidenced by increased confidence, higher test scores in math and reading by third grade and increases in overall brain development.  At the YMCA, our goal is to ensure that each and every child is kindergarten ready. 

This year our auction theme is focused on the importance of Early Learning and how the Everett Family YMCA is making a difference in this arena.  We believe every child should attend kindergarten ready to learn, thrive and grow.  Today, with over 55% of our pre-school participants receiving some type of financial assistance, the YMCA is making a real difference in the academic confidence of our children.
