1st Annual Benefit Gala for the Mill Creek YMCA
Join us for an evening of fun as we raise money to support the youth and families in our community. When you give to the Y, you continue to strengthen our community and move us all forward. As the nation’s leading nonprofit for youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility, the Y uses your gift to make a meaningful, enduring impact right in your own neighborhood.
The Y works to nurture the potential of children and teens, improve the nation’s health and well-being, and give back and support our neighbors. We recognize that for communities to succeed, everyone must be given the opportunity to be healthy, confident, connected and secure. Through our fundraising, the Y is able to financially assist these programs and more, for the benefit of a great community.
We hope you can join us for this very special evening and supporting this worthy cause.
Also, be sure to join the event on Facebook for all event updates!
See how the Y has made an impact in a different capacity in the lives of our community.
The Y is arguably the most powerful social institution this country
has ever known. The Y helped found the USO (United Service Organization)
and the Peace Corps was patterned after a YMCA program. If you've ever
gone to a public library, taken a night course, or celebrated Father's
Day, your life has been touched by the work of the Y. If you've ever
played basketball or volleyball, or gone camping, you've enjoyed the
work of the Y.
Here in Snohomish County, the Y has been serving and strengthening
our communities since 1901. We've been here through economic booms and
busts, wartime and peace, and social upheavals both subtle and
life-changing. Our movement is made up of people of all ages and from
every walk of life, all working side-by-side to ensure that everyone,
regardless of gender, income or background, has the opportunity to live
life to its fullest.
We value caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility, and everything
we do stems from this. Our staff and volunteers are kids, parents,
grandparents, neighbors, and local leaders who are all personally
committed to understanding what our neighborhoods need. Together, we use
our knowledge to develop stronger, more integrated communities, provide
support for people and families, and promote positive change overall.
