This year, the Everett Family YMCA is proud to celebrate 36 years of our Bright Futures Benefit Auction. In this event’s 35-year history, over $1,835,200 has been provided back to our community to ensure accessibility to the Y. Every day, the Y works to address the most pressing needs in the community it serves by making sure that everyone has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. Regardless of age, income or background, when you give to the Y, you help to strengthen the foundations of our community.
After two years of pivoting to a virtual event while trying to meet our fundraising goals in order to support community need, the Everett YMCA is excited to be able to once again plan for an in-person event, gathering our community together, celebrating, and creating awareness. As our community continues to recover from the pandemic, it is even more important that we continue our promise to care for the mental, social, and physical health and well-being of our community. With the generous support from donors like you in 2021, our community was able to:
- Once again enjoy the magic of YMCA Summer Camp, allowing youth and teens to reconnect socially again and feel confident and ready to learn for the upcoming school year
- Kick off fall leadership programs for Teens, engaging them in YMCA Leaders Club, My Achievers, and YMCA Youth & Government – developing middle and high school teens, and ensuring youth have access to YMCA facilities and mentoring relationships at no cost after school lets out
- Expand the Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring program, matching Littles to caring Bigs
- Give financial assistance to help ensure no child or family are turned away from lifesaving swim lessons, confidence-building youth sports, or from YMCA Membership where people can focus on their health and being active
